Activities

Tuesday: The hospitality room, located in the Bermuda Suite on the first floor, will be open from 4:00 p.m. until departing the hotel sometime Friday (closed during the Thursday night banquet). Naturally, there will be kegs of Budweiser and cases of sodas, chips and dips, plus hot and cold hors d'oeuvres prepared exclusively each evening by our private chef Sir William de India. And, regarding all other beverages, everything other than the beer kegs and sodas will be on a BYOB basis.

Wednesday: At 9:00 a.m., we will meet as a group for opening ceremonies in the general session room. Soon thereafter, private conference rooms will be available for the utilization of each individual Company. After the one hour a la carte lunch (there are four restaurants in the hotel), and starting at 1:00 p.m., each individual Company can return to their private conference room. A few hours later we will again meet as a group to listen and ask questions to our special guest speaker Dr. Patricia McDermott, who has specialized in PTSD specifically attributable to sustained combat exposure. After talking with the veterans, Dr. McDermott has agreed to meet privately, for as long as it takes, with our wives and significant others, as a collective group, to talk with and respond to their specific experiences and concerns. At the conclusion of the day's activities, the hotel will host a one-hour complimentary Wine (with beer) and Cheese Reception just for us.

Thursday: Until the evening Banquet Dinner, this day is open. The Banquet Dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 11:00 p.m., with a full bar available for individual purchase. We will have a special guest speaker. The menus will consist of a choice between two entrée's, chicken breast or roast beef, plus all the trimmings, to include dessert. The dinner will cost $17.65 per person, which includes gratuities and sales tax (this is a discount of near 55% per person). MOST IMPORTANT: to obtain this discount, we agreed to pay in advance for the Banquet Dinner. Accordingly, and in order to reserve however many dinners you desire at this discounted price, your check must be received by, and made payable to Kilo 3/9, Inc., no later than May 1st, 2002 (otherwise you pay full price to attend the Banquet). The hospitality room will be closed from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m., or until the Banquet is over.

Friday: This day is open. Before checkout, please visit with us in the hospitality room.

All Marines, relatives, and friends are invited to attend our Reunion. This will probably be the least costly visit to a Walt Disney World Resort any of us will experience.
